J + H Ranch and Rope Horses are raised on the Gallacher family ranch near Carrizozo, New Mexico. The ranch started in 1906, and Gray and his wife Kellie and their three children are the fourth and fifth generations on the ranch. They raise both commercial and registered Black Angus cattle, as well as black baldy cattle.

The horses are also born and raised on the ranch. They are bred to be good all-around ranch horses, solid-minded, sure-footed on even the rockiest terrain, with the conformation and speed that work just as well in a rodeo area as roping calves outside.
